Oppo today presented in China two new models from the Reno family. Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro debut only a dozen or so weeks after the previous model, but for now they will be offered only in China.
New models will come to us at the earliest in spring. What are we waiting for? First of all, for the new stylization of the Reno series. The characteristic "shark fin" with the front camera disappears, the elegant rear with "embedded" camera lenses disappears, and an indentation or hole appears on the screen. It will be more ordinary, but still quite nice.
Oppo Reno 3 will be recognized by the droplet notch in the 6.4-inch AMOLED Full HD+ screen. The notch will contain a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The heart of the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L processor (with 5G support), which has ARM Mali G77 graphics, 8 or 12 GB RAM and 128 GB memory for data. The phone powers a 4025 mAh battery with VooC 4.0 fast charging. The rear camera, placed in a protruding frame, has four matrices, with resolutions of 64, 8, 2 and 2 Mpx. The two smallest are responsible for macro and background blurring, while the 8-megapixel lens works with a wide-angle lens.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro also has an AMOLED (but already 6.5-inch) Full HD+ screen, but with 90 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The indentation for a selfie camera is also different - now we are dealing with a hole for the 32 Mpx front camera. Inside - it is also different, because the heart of the phone is a system from Qualcomm - Snapdragon 765G. The processor works with Adreno 620 graphics as well as 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128-256 GB of internal memory. This model also supports 5G SA/NSA networks and has a fingerprint reader integrated in the screen, stereo speakers, and a 4025 mAh battery with VooC 4.0 fast charging. However, none of the new Reno allows the use of a microSD card. Oppo Reno 3 Pro received a slightly more interesting main camera, with a basic matrix of 48 Mpx (f/1.7) and a 2-megapixel mesh for blurring the background. The kit also includes a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.4 telephoto and 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 wide-angle fish eye.

Both models will go on sale in China at the end of this year, and to other regions - as I mentioned - in spring 2020. Oppo Reno 3 costs in China, depending on the chosen memory, 3399 or 3699 yuan (485-529 USD), while Oppo Reno 3 Pro - 3999 or 4499 yuan, (572-643 USD).
