POCO has become an independent brand

Published:

Last year Redmi became an independent brand, now Xiaomi repeated the same step with the POCO brand. Does this mean that the launch of POCO F2 is getting closer?

Xiaomi introduced POCO as its sub-brand in 2018. It was a small team led by former Xiaomi director Jai Mani. The brand has launched its first (and so far the only) smartphone in the form of the POCO F1 model (PocoPhone F1), which has gained recognition from the industry and still remains popular among consumers. Now it is possible that we will see POCO F2, or POCO X2, which has recently appeared on the network.

Xiaomi Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India Manu Kumar Jain spoke on Twitter announcing POCO a separate brand - in a separate press release Xiaomi India has expanded this issue and mentioned that the new independent brand will now operate independently of Xiaomi and will have its own team and entry strategy to market.
