V30 Pro is the latest flagship branded by Honor, i.e. Huawei's budget sub-brand. It's a great model, with a 6.57-inch display, a Kirin 990 processor and 8 GB of RAM. The icing on the cake, however, is a camera that has just obtained an excellent result on the DxOMark website.
The triple camera in Honor V30 Pro Pro consists of a standard 40 megapixel wide-angle camera (1/1.7 inch matrix, f/1.6), 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 80 mm focal length photos with 3x optical zoom, with f/2.4 aperture. All three cameras are equipped with PDAF with laser autofocus. Both the main camera and telephoto lens are equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS). The smartphone can record in maximum 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, it also provides electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Honor V30 Pro reached 122 points and is in the second place in the ranking of the highest rated smartphones. The first is Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G with 123 points, and the third is Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro ex aequo with the next Huawei model, Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The Chinese dominated the photographic smartphone sector - at least in the DxOMark rating.
Honor V30 Pro provides comparable or better image quality than more expensive competition flagships. It provides a perfect zoom, a bokeh effect and night shots. Testers negatively assessed the incoherent work of autofocus, which sometimes resulted in blurry shots. And when using an ultra wide angle, some geometric distortion may appear. The test details can be found on the DxOMark website.
