HTC officially presented its first smartphone in a long time. HTC Desire 20 Pro is a very correct average - but is it likely to be a hit?
HTC Desire 20 Pro stands out thanks to its interesting, striped texture on the back panel. It gives the device uniqueness, although the rest of the housing is definitely more ordinary. On the back there is a classic, round fingerprint reader and a vertical camera holder. The camera has four lenses, but unfortunately two belong to 2-megapixel eyelets for macro and background blur, with f/2.4 apertures. The core of the camera is a 48 Mpx matrix with f/1.8 lens, as well as an 8 Mpx wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 118 degree field of view. The front camera with a resolution of 25 megapixels and f/2.0 aperture is mounted in the display opening.

The display has a diagonal of 6.5 inches and a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. The heart of the phone is the Snapdragon 665 processor, supported by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which can be enlarged with a microSD card. The 5000 mAh battery with QC 3.0 quick charge system takes care of the power supply. On board there is NFC, Bluetooth 5 or dual band Wi-Fi, there is also DualSIM. At the moment, we do not yet know the price of the device - and in fact it will mainly determine the market success of this model and - in part - the future of the HTC smartphone business.
