Along with the new Galaxy Note20 models and Galaxy Tab S7 tablets, Samsung today presented the next installment of its most expensive smartphone. I'm talking about the foldable Galaxy Z Fold2 5G.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is actually a development version of the model from last year. Numerous improvements were made, but most of all the appearance of the device was improved. The new model has modernized hinges, and the housing is available in a colour range consistent with the rest of Samsung's August novelties.

The parameters of the internal, foldable display have been significantly improved. The 7.6-inch matrix with a resolution of 2213x1689 px refreshes the image with a frequency of 120 Hz and has a coating made of Ultra Thin Glass material. Thanks to this, the display should be more resistant to damage than in the case of the first Fold. A large, unsightly notch has disappeared from the corner of the screen, giving way to a selfie camera hole. This camera has 10 megapixels, but it is not the only one found in the Galaxy Z Fold2. The next ones are on the outside of the housing. The main camera has a 12 Mpx matrix with OIS and additional tele and wide-angle modules with 64 and 12 Mpx matrices. The second of the selfie cameras, with an external, auxiliary display, also has 10 megapixels, like the internal one.

An additional, external screen, the appearance of which was strongly criticized in the previous generation of Fold, in this release increased to a size of 6.2 inches, becoming much more practical and aesthetic. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G received a two-piece battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh with 25 W fast charging and wireless charging. The heart of the new Fold is the Snapdragon 865+ processor, supported by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory.

The hinge has also been modified, which now allows it to be set in different positions. As a result, the screen sharing options known from the Z Flip model will appear - only in a different format. One thing has not changed - Fold is still expensive. The phone - in addition to the black and brown colours - will also appear in an exclusive, fashion version of Thom Browne. Even more expensive... Unfortunately, the exact prices will be known later - so far we only have an announcement of the market launch at the beginning of September.
