HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia phones and smartphones, today presented inexpensive smartphones from the 2 and 3 series and accessories: Nokia Earbuds Lite headphones and a wireless speaker. HMD Connect Pro roaming service has also been announced.
Product launches coincided with the global launch of the new Nokia 8.3 5G. The first global 5G smartphone, which will be the official device of 00 agents in the latest film from the James Bond series of adventures, "No time to die", will go on sale in the coming weeks, and will be accompanied by a special package of gadgets.
The new Nokia 2.4 offers a 6.5-inch HD+ screen, two days of battery life (4500 mAh capacity) and update packages that will make it ready for Android 11 and 12. The heart of this model is the MediaTek Helio P22 chip, supported by 2 or 3 GB of RAM and internal memory of 32 or 64 GB. The equipment also includes a triple card slot (2xnanoSIM and microSD up to 512 GB), NFC, a minijack and FM radio. The smartphone also has a camera with a main matrix of 13 Mpx (f/2.2) and an auxiliary 2 Mpx for blurring the background. The camera uses Artificial Intelligence and is equipped with a dedicated night mode and a portrait editor, allowing you to apply a blur effect also after taking a photo. We will take a selfie with a 5 Mpx (f/2.4) camera. The phone has a dedicated Google Assistant key and a nano-coating protection in case of getting wet.
The latest Nokia 3.4 is - according to the manufacturer - "a jump in performance thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 Mobile processor, an additional boost of creativity thanks to a 6.39-inch screen with a punch-hole front camera and a mighty triple rear camera with an ultra-wide lens and AI imaging". To be more specific, the selfie camera has 8 megapixels, while the rear has a main 13 Mpx matrix, a 2 Mpx wide-angle module and a 2 Mpx background blurring. The processor can be accompanied by 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of flash memory. The power supply is provided by a 4000 mAh battery, and the equipment is completed by the Google Assistant key and a fingerprint reader. Nokia 3.4 makes its debut with Android 10 and the promise of three-year security suite updates and two-year OS updates. All these functionalities have been wrapped in a styling inspired by Nordic nature and distinguished by three new, vivid colour versions.

- Nokia 3.4 is available globally from early October and comes in Fjord, Dusk and Charcoal colour options with 3/32GB, 3/64GB and 4/64GB memory and storage configurations starting at an average global retail price of 159 EUR.
- Nokia 2.4 is available globally from end of September and comes in Dusk, Fjord and Charcoal colour options with 2/32GB and 3/64GB memory and storage configurations starting at an average global retail price of 119 EUR.
- Nokia Power Earbuds Lite are available globally from October for an average global retail price of 59.9 EUR and come in Charcoal, Fjord and Snow.
HMD Global presented not only two smartphones, but also accessories: Nokia Earbuds Lite headphones (Nokia Power Earbuds headphones on the market were enriched with two colour versions - Mint and Polar Night) and a portable wireless Nokia speaker with a built-in microphone. Nokia Earbuds Lite are wireless headphones that allow you to listen to your favorite songs for up to 35 hours. IPX7 certification means that they are waterproof for one and a half minutes, which allows you to use them during intense training or in the rain. The portable Nokia wireless speaker with integrated microphone is compatible with Bluetooth 5.0, which allows it to be paired with a wide range of devices from various brands. 4 hours of battery life will allow you to move the party wherever you want. During the launch, the latest protective cases for the presented smartphones were also shown.
HMD Connect Pro
During the launch, HMD Global also announced the launch of HMD Connect Pro, a global data roaming service to the SIM card, which was created with business users in mind. Companies will now be able to trust one global service and benefit from a centralized management system for their entire SIM card fleet. Management of all your SIM cards is centralized, allowing you to constantly control costs and prevent anomalies thanks to a real-time data logging system, "live" diagnosis and a quick troubleshooting system. What's more, HMD Connect Pro ensures the competitiveness of settlements and an easy-to-use SIM card management panel on terms adapted to the customer's needs. With over 600 networks in over 160 countries, HMD Connect Pro offers global pre-paid roaming coverage, avoiding the difficulties faced by international businesses. 4G/LTE technology along with 2G and 3G support will meet the connectivity needs for corporate use or the implementation of the Internet of Things. The HMD Connect Pro service will be launched in October, debuting in Australia, Finland, France, Indonesia, the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.
