Samsung has already officially announced the launch of a new tablet for special tasks - Galaxy Tab Active3. What are its possibilities - apart from high resistance to unfavorable conditions?
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 is a tablet designed to work in more difficult conditions - on construction sites or in tourism. It meets the requirements of the IP68 tightness certificate, as well as the military strength standard MIL-STD-810H. Therefore, the device should survive getting wet, dirty or dropped. The 8-inch PLS TFT screen with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels is adapted to use with gloves, as well as to work with the S Pen stylus, which is an integral part of the tablet equipment. The stylus has a special slot in the housing.

The heart of the tablet is the Exynos 9810 processor, previously used in the company's flagship smartphones. In Galaxy Tab Active3, this processor is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory, which of course can be enlarged with a card. The tablet is powered by a 5050 mAh battery, which can be removed and replaced by yourself. For charging, in addition to the usual USB-C connector, you can use special pins on the housing, you can even use the tablet with the battery removed, provided that the power adapter is connected. However, the device then operates in an energy-saving mode, with some limitations. The tablet uses the Android 10 system with the One U interface and offers the ability to work in DeX mode (like a minicomputer).
The tablet's equipment is completed by two cameras (13 and 5 megapixels) with the option of scanning barcodes, there is also a fingerprint reader. Optionally, you can buy an adapter for accepting contactless payments, as well as choose a tablet variant with a built-in LTE modem. We do not know the prices of the device yet.
