The launch of the Oppo Find X3 series - but there is only one star

There are three novelties in the new series, but in fact, there is only one star. The flagship model of the series, Oppo Find X3 Pro, is distinguished by styling and a few technological flavors. And it is from it that we will start the review of the novelties.

Oppo Find X3 Pro

Oppo Find X3 Pro has an unusual styling, with the camera island smoothly emerging from the housing. It looks original and distinguishes the smartphone from its competitors. Find X3 Pro has a Snapdragon 888 processor and 12+256 GB memory (LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1). The high-end AMOLED display has a diagonal of 6.7 inches, QHD+ resolution, support for HDR10+ and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and underneath there is a fingerprint reader. The display can show a billion colours and achieve a brightness of up to 1,300 nits and a static contrast of 5,000,000: 1. Find X3 Pro reproduces colors with an accuracy of 0.4 JNCD. The smartphone is also A+DisplayMate certified.

The smartphone powers a 4500 mAh battery with 65 W fast charging and inductive charging. The rear camera has four matrices. Among them, the camera with a modest 5 Mpx resolution deserves special attention, but equipped with a special "microscopic" f/3.0 lens for macro photos, giving a 60x zoom. The basic Sony IMX 766 matrix is 50-megapixel, with optical stabilization and an f/1.8 lens.

The third, also the same 50 Mpx, takes wide-angle photos (110.3 degrees) with an f/2.2 aperture, while the fourth, 13-megapixel sensor works with a periscope telephoto lens f/2.4, giving a 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom. Selfie, as in the other two models of the series, is provided by a 32 Mpx (f/2.4) front camera. Everything is closed in a waterproof housing with an IP68 certificate. The price of the phone is 1149 euros.

Oppo Find X3

To make it more interesting, the basic model of the series debuted in China today - Oppo Find X3. You will recognize it by marking PEDM00. This is a variant intended for this one market only. The smartphone has almost the same specification and design as the global Find X3 Pro variant. It differs only (or maybe rather: as much as) in the processor and RAM. To be more specific - this version has a Snapdragon 870 processor and 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The model is offered in China with UFS 3.1 128 or 256 GB internal memory, and the prices are 4499 and 4999 yuan. Converted to 580 and 645 euros. Of course, excluding our taxes. The Chinese also have one more colour variants to choose from.

Oppo Find X3 Neo

Oppo Find X3 Neo is the average model from the series. It is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with a diagonal of 6.5 inches and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Invariably, we have the GG5 glass on the screen, and under it - a fingerprint reader. The heart of this model is the Snapdragon 865 processor, supported by 12+256 GB memory (LPDDR4x and UFS 3.1). The power supply is provided by a battery like in the Pro model - but charged with 18 W. The camera is different: it has a main matrix of 50 Mpx, with OIS and f/1.7 aperture, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2, 123 st.) and a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.4 telephoto lens approx. 5x and a 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4). Unfortunately, there is no bold styling from the Pro model - but we have a clear reference to the Reno 5 series. This model was valued at around 815 euros.

Oppo Find X3 Lite

Oppo Find X3 Lite is a budget phone from the new series, also resembling the current Reno models. Unlike the rest of the Find X3, it already has a 6.4-inch AMOLED flat screen, 90 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, with Gorilla Glass 3+ glass and an integrated finger reader. This model works on the basis of the Snapdragon 765G processor, combined with 8+128 GB memory (LPDDR4x and UFS 2.1), drawing energy from a 4300 mAh battery, charged with 18 W. On the back we find a very typical photo set for medium-sized children. It consists of the main 64 Mpx matrix with f/1.79 lens, a wide-angle 8 Mpx module (f/2.25, 119 degrees) and two 2-megapixel cameras with f/2.4 apertures for macro and background blurring. The price is 465 euros.
