In Japan, the recognized photographic brand Leica presented a smartphone with an inch photographic matrix - Leitz Phone 1.
1-inch matrix - sounds familiar? Yes, after all, such a smartphone was recently presented by Sharp! Leica Leitz Phone 1 is Sharp Aquos R6 - but in a different housing and with a different logo.
Leica gave the device its own style by placing the lens of a 20-megapixel module with an inch matrix and a ToF sensor in a circle. This circle protrudes significantly beyond the casing - but you can use a photographic gadget - a magnetic lens cover! This detail makes the smartphone look like a compact camera ...

The entire specification - as I mentioned - comes from Sharp Aquos R6. So we have the Snapdragon 888, a 5000 mAh battery and a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Also noteworthy is the 6.67-inch Pro IGZO OLED display, with a resolution of 2730 x 1260 pixels and an image refresh rate adjustable in the range of 1-240 Hz. What else distinguishes the Leica smartphone from the original is a more powerful memory set: 12+256 GB. Leica Leitz Phone 1 is only available from the Japanese Softbank network, for 187,920 yen, or $ 1,700.
