Huawei today unveiled the long-awaited smartphones from the flagship P50 series. What distinguishes the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro models?
This year's Huawei flagships are distinguished by a unique, original styling. While from the front they look quite ordinary - they have screens with selfie camera holes surrounded by narrow frames - on the back they cannot be confused with others. Unless with Honor 50... This is due to the unusual rear camera frame, made of two dark circles surrounded by a common frame. Not everyone will like it, but it will not leave anyone indifferent. Of course, smartphones work using the Android-based proprietary Harmony OS 2.0 solution, but of course they do not have 5G and access to Google services, which may prevent them from becoming market hits. What else do the new models offer?

Huawei P50
Huawei P50 has a 6.5-inch OLED display, refreshing the image at a frequency of 90 Hz, and the touch panel - 300 Hz. The screen has a slightly unusual, but high resolution, 2700 x 1224 pixels. The heart of the smartphone was the Snapdragon 888 processor, but in the version with a 4G modem. The system is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB flash memory. The second memory can be expanded with a 256 GB NM card. Huawei P50 has received a very practical set of cameras. The main one has 50 megapixels and an f 1.8 aperture, while the wide-angle one has 13 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2. There is also a 12 Mpx camera with a telephoto lens with an f/3.4 aperture, equipped with OIS Optical Image Stabilization. It gives a 5x lossless and 50x digital zoom. Selfie is provided by a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. The power supply is provided by a 4100 mAh battery with 66 W fast charging. The housing - offered in three colours - is IP68-certified.

Huawei P50 Pro
Huawei P50 Pro received a slightly larger and more rounded OLED display, with a diagonal of 6.6 inches, a resolution of 2700 x 1228 pixels and an image refresh rate raised to 120 Hz. For this model, there are two versions to choose from: with the Kirin 9000 processor (Cortex-A77 3.13 GHz + 3x Cortex-A77 2.54 GHz + 4x Cortex-A55 2.05 GHz + Mali-G78) or with Snapdragon 888 - unfortunately both with 4G modems. The Kirin version will be offered with 8 GB RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB flash memories, and the snapdragon version - only with the 12+512 GB set. Of course - in both cases there will also be an NM card slot up to 256 GB. Huawei P50 Pro has a more interesting set of cameras than the base model. The selfie and wide-angle modules remained unchanged, but the main module already gained optical stabilization. OIS can also be found in a camera with a periscope telephoto lens with f/3.5 aperture, which gives a 3.5x lossless zoom and a digital zoom up to 100x. This module has 64 megapixels. For this, we also have a 40-megapixel black and white portrait camera with a great f/1.6 aperture. The battery has a capacity of 4360 mAh here, and wireless charging - invariably - the power of 65 W. There is also, however, wireless charging - very fast, 50-watt, with the option of recharging. The housing remains IP68 compliant, but there are more colours to choose from. Both smartphones have stereo speakers.
