An oval smartphone with a round display and Android system and a poor specification. Can it be successful? And yet - it worked!
An unusual smartphone project has appeared on Kickstarter. The device has a round display and an oval housing. And this is not the end of the quirks: the equipment also has two minijack outputs (for listening by two) and - at the same time - a microUSB and USB-C socket. There is also a microSD card slot and DualSIM.

Unfortunately, although the form is interesting, Cyrcle Phone 2.0 doesn’t captivate either with the price or the specification. The screen with a diameter of only 3.45 inches has a resolution of 800 x 800 pixels and is made in IPS technology. The phone does not support the 5G network, and its heart is an undefined Snapdragon processor, supported by 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB eMMC internal memory. For this we have a battery with a capacity of only 2000 mAh and one 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front and back. The equipment of the device also includes NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2LE, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and temperature sensor, as well as two speakers.

And although the developers assure that the interface has been adapted to the round screen, and applications can be tailored to it in several ways, I am convinced that the device's target price of $ 999 is a bit exaggerated. Especially that the delivery of phones (offered in pre-sale for $ 699) has been announced for September... 2022. The device is not saved either by the fact that it is supposedly assembled in the USA, or by its unique form. The specification is simply weak - and that's it. Nevertheless - there were people willing, and the fundraiser was successful.
