BlackBerry announces that it is ending all support for BlackBerry 7.1 and earlier, BlackBerry 10, and the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 tablet. This means that these devices will turn into effective souvenirs or paper clamps. On January 4, devices based on BlackBerry OS will no longer be able to make phone calls or handle SMSes. There may also be difficulties in Internet connectivity. It was inevitable - the iconic communicator or app store had already been put to death. But the phones were still working. On January 4, 2022, they will even lose their basic functionality. You can't even call the emergency number. The manufacturer has prepared a guide to help you switch to another platform and archive data that could still be in the old "blackberry". The only souvenir of the legendary brand will remain, therefore, only its last smartphones, based on the Android system. These - at least for now - will still function normally. But it won't be the same anymore...
