Samsung officially confirmed the February launch of the flagship Galaxy S smartphones, as well as - although less directly - the fact that the Galaxy S22 Ultra model will be the successor to the Galaxy Note series.
We already knew it - but now we have confirmation from an official source - Samsung's press service. The head of the company, Dr. TM Roh announces there that the new Galaxy S will be "the most noteworthy in the history of the series". By the way, it is worth paying attention to the English-language content of the quote shown in the photo. Isn't the word "noteworthy" ambiguous by any chance...? It is also worth watching the video published by Samsung:

There, about 7-8 seconds or so, we see whirling silhouettes of telephones. If you look closely you will see that one has more rounded corners than the other. This is a clear sign that proves the different styling of the Galaxy S22 Ultra model - the successor to the Galaxy Note.

Speaking of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, we have more information from an unofficial source. It shows an infographic quite similar to those usually published by Samsung. We will learn from it that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh and support for HDR10+ and a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging, and the processor will be Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Here, other unofficial sources indicate in which areas the above chips will be used:

— Dohyun Kim (@dohyun854) January 20, 2022
1. Europe: Exynos
2. North America: Snapdragon
3. South America: Snapdragon
4. East Asia: Snapdragon
5. South East Asia/Oceania: Snapdragon
6. West Asia: Exynos & Snapdragon
7. Middle East Asia: Exynos & Snapdragon
8. Africa: Exynos & Snapdragon
As you can see, only Europeans will have the opportunity to test the possibilities of the new Exynos. The same processors can also be found in the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ models - but let's go back to the infographics about Ultra. It was also stated that the smartphone will have 12 or 16 GB of RAM (probably LPDDR5) and internal memory (probably UFS 3.1) in 128, 256 and 512 GB variants. We also learn that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 40-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 108-megapixel main rear matrix with f/1.8 lens and optical stabilization (OIS). Optical image stabilization can also be found in two more modules with telephoto lenses and 10 Mpx matrices. The first one has a 3x zoom and the second one, periscope - 10x. In both the aperture value is f/4.9. The set will be completed with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. Finally, there is news about the stylus - it has a delay of only 2.8 ms.
At the end, I have a message from the leakster Snowy Cat, who is well versed in Samsung. He is 100% sure that the launch of the Galaxy S22 series will take place on February 9. On the same day, we will also get to know the tablets from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series.
