Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra - new tablets from Samsung

In addition to the Galaxy S22 series smartphones, Samsung today unveiled a new family of flagship tablets: Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Get to know their specifications and prices!

Just like the smartphones presented today, the new tablets also share a large part of the specifications, and the most interesting of them is the Ultra model. Let's start with the common features of all three novelties. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets are based on Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processors, made in 4 nm lithography. In all three we find support for the S-Pen stylus, quad AKG stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, three microphones and Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E modules, as well as optional 5G modems. Each tablet allows you to expand the memory with a removable microSD card, they also have accelerometers, gyroscopes, geomagnetic sensors, Hall and brightness. Each one also has a double rear camera with a main 13 Mpx module with f/2.0 aperture and a wide-angle 6 Mpx with f/2.2 aperture. For tablets, the manufacturer also offers dedicated covers, in a version with an integrated keyboard, handles and stands. All tablets are equipped with magnetic mounts for the stylus on the back of the case.

The basic model, as the only one, received an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The tablet is powered by a battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh, and the dimensions of the housing will be 253.8 x 165.3 x 6.3 mm, and the weight of the tablet is 503 or 507 g in the version with a 5G modem. The device also has a single, 12-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture and a fingerprint reader integrated with the power button.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+

Galaxy Tab S8+ is bigger, and it has a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This model is powered by a battery with a capacity of 10090 mAh, and the fingerprint reader has been moved to the display. The dimensions of the tablet will be 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm, and the weight - 567 or 572 g. Both Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8+ are offered with 8+128 and 12+256 GB memory kits. The cameras are the same as on the basic Galaxy Tab S8. Both models mentioned so far will be offered in three colour versions.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

As in the case of smartphones from the Galaxy S22 series - also among tablets, the model with the note Ultra is the largest and most original. The hallmark of this tablet is ... notch in the screen. This unusual indentation houses a double selfie camera, equipped with two, 12-megapixel sensors. The additional module is of course responsible for wide-angle photos. Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is also distinguished by its size: it has a display with a diagonal of 14.6 inches and a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels, and the dimensions of its housing are 324.6 x 208.6 x 5.5 mm with a weight of 726 or 728 g, depending on the presence of an optional 5G modem. The top tablet, like Galaxy Tab S8+, has a sub-screen fingerprint reader, but it is only available in graphite. This model draws energy from a battery with a capacity of 11200 mAh and is the only one in the series in three memory variants: 8+128, 12+256 and 16+512 GB.
