Vivo has unveiled a budget smartphone with Android Go. Vivo Y01 has - as you probably guessed - a very basic specification.
Basic - not to say a poor one. Some elements of the equipment of this phone make you think about buying it, although it will probably be really cheap. Vivo Y01 uses the MediaTek Helio P35 processor, which would not be a bad solution for a cheap phone if it were not combined with 2 GB of RAM. This may be a weak set, even for the needs of Android 11 Go, which - it is worth adding - works with the FuntouchOS 11.1 add-on. A variant with 3 GB RAM will be a better choice, although I would not expect too smooth operation here. The smartphone also has 32 GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a side fingerprint reader.

Vivo Y01 has a 6.51-inch display with HD+ resolution, equipped with a droplet notch for a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera, depending on the distribution region of this smartphone, has 8 or 13 megapixels and is integrated into a common frame with an LED diode to give the impression of a dual camera. Y01 powers a 5000 mAh battery with 10-watt microUSB charging and wired reverse charging. There are two housing colours to choose from, but the price has not been announced yet.
