The time has come for the official launch of Oppo A57 5G. This new model is a refined version of the Oppo A56 5G - with a new chipset, improved screen, more RAM and a few other amenities, but still average - only with 5G.
The new model is armed with a Mediatek Dimensity 810 processor, a 6-nanometer Dimensity 700 version with slightly faster clock speeds. The cheaper variant now has 6 GB RAM (previously it was 4 GB) and the more expensive 8 GB.The internal memory is still 128 GB in both versions (UFS 2.2 with 6 GB, UFS 2.1 with 8 GB), but it can be expanded with a MicroSD card . RAM, however, can be expanded with 5 GB of virtual memory. There was also a new operating system - Android 12 with the Color OS 12.1 overlay instead of Android 11.
The screen remains similar in terms of resolution (720 x 1612) and brightness (480 nits), but has a larger diagonal (6.56 inches instead of 6.50) and a wide range of colours - 100% sRGB coverage in natural mode and 100% DCI- P3 in expressive mode.
In terms of cameras, we will not see anything new - 13 Mpx f/2.2 lens with 2 Mpx for depth measurement on the back, 8 Mpx f / 2.0 on the front. Both can record videos in 1080p resolution with 30 fps. Similarly with the battery - 5000 mAh with a basic 10W charging. What is new are stereo speakers.

Among the connectivity options we find Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.2 with high-quality aptX HD and LDAC audio codecs, and dual 5G. An additional antenna on the side will ensure a stable connection if the user happens to cover the main antenna with his hand, for example while playing games. There was also a minijack. NFC is missing, but at least you can verify payments with a side fingerprint scanner.
Oppo A57 is available in pre-sale in China today - it will hit the shelves tomorrow. For now, only the version with 8 GB RAM is available, for the price of 1,500 Chinese yuan. The phone set includes a charger and a protective cover.
If rumours are to be believed, the new device is almost identical to the Realme Q5i coming next week.
