Huawei today presented its next, already fifth foldable smartphone. Meet Huawei Mate Xs 2!
Huawei Mate Xs 2, like its predecessor, has a cover that opens in the form of a "book", but with a flexible display on the outside. Thanks to this - an additional, auxiliary screen can be eliminated, but on the other hand - the risk of damaging the flexible, expensive matrix increases. The smartphone also received a new, thinner hinge mechanism, limiting the formation of a fold at the bend of the display. The display itself is made in OLED technology, has a diagonal of 7.8 inches and a resolution of 2480x2200 pixels. The refresh rate on the screen reaches 120 Hz, and the touch panel - 240 Hz. The screen has a special anti-reflective coating that improves the readability of the image and works with the company's stylus.

The heart of Huawei Mate Xs 2 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, but with a modem that is truncated from 5G support. This is the result of US sanctions, as is the lack of support from Google Mobile Services, replaced here by Huawei's own package. The processor is supported by LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memories. The standard battery has a capacity of 4600 mAh, but in the Collector's Edition its capacity increases to 4880 mAh. The power of the charging system is 66 W. In the photographic part we find a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8), accompanied by a 13-megapixel wide-angle (f/2.2) and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with a 3x lossless zoom (f/2.4 with OIS). The screen has a hole for a 10 Mpx selfie camera (f/2.2). There are three variants of housing colours to choose from, and the price list and memory versions are as follows:
- 8+256 GB - 9999 yuan, 1515 USD
- 8+512 GB - 11499 yuan, 1745 USD
- 12+512 GB Collector's Edition - 12999 yuan, 2000 USD
