Apple WWDC - iOS 16 and what else?

The new iOS 16 smartphone system brings quite a lot of novelties. Firstly, we will note the possibility of quite deep personalization of the lock screen. You can modify the font or colours, and add widgets to the screen. Notifications have moved to a new location - the bottom of the lock screen. The music application widget has also been remodeled, which is now more graphically interesting and larger. iOS 16 is also Focus Mode - a new feature that replaces the simple Do Not Disturb. It can be deeply personalized so that when turned on, it filters not only calls, but all the rest of communication and notifications. In iMessage there is an option to undo sending messages, while in FaceTime there is the SharePlay function - watching content together and commenting on it live. A text dictation function has also been introduced, as well as the option of accepting Apple Pay payments by touching two phones together, without the need to use a terminal. The customer just needs to touch the seller's iPhone with his iPhone. In the US, it will also be possible to use Apple Pay Later - i.e. installment payments.

The maps have also been redesigned, adding the option to show saved tickets immediately in the map application, and the appearance of 3D buildings has also been improved. The "My Sports" section appears in Apple News, where the user will see the results of the disciplines he is interested in, and Safety Check allows you to check with whom the user shares accounts on various websites. A big novelty is "Matter" - an application for managing smart home devices. Importantly, it will also support devices from other manufacturers, including Samsung's SmartThings. A new version of CarPlay has also been introduced, as well as a lot of improvements in Safari, Mail, Game Center and Fitness and Health applications. The iPad OS has also been refreshed.

Apple also introduced a new version of the watchOS 9 system. There are new watch faces, as well as an improved Workout application, presenting the results and measurements (e.g. heart rate) in a clearer way. New options for swimming activities have been added, as well as Multisport training recording, which automatically switches the type of exercise performed, e.g. switching from running to swimming. The ability to export health data to PDF has been added, including ECG records. There is also a new meditation app, as well as a lot of minor improvements in the interface itself.
