ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro - gaming novelties from Asus

The new Asus smartphones aren’t surprising: they have a familiar, established in previous generations, unique style and really top, strongest possible specifications. Of course, they are based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors, clocked up to 3.3 GHz and supported by Adreno 730 graphics systems, LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, and special image processing systems - Pixelworks i6. The image, in turn, is presented on 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution and the image refresh rate as much as 165 Hz. The touch panel is refreshed at a frequency of 720 Hz, while the special Corning Gorilla Glass Victus coating improves the device's response to a touch with a sweaty hand. Touch delay is less than 23 ms. The screen brightness is typically 800 and peak 1200 nits, and its minimum value is 5 nits. The contrast reaches 1,000,000: 1, and the coverage of the colour palettes is 150.89% in the case of sRGB and 111.23% in the DCI-P3.

The Oto Asus ROG Phone 6 and Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro models are powered by two-piece 6000 mAh batteries with fast 67 W charging, and you can use two USB-C ports. An additional one is placed on the side, incl. to facilitate cable routing when holding the phone horizontally. In the photographic part it is rather modest - we have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, wide-angle 13 Mpx and front 12 Mpx. Smartphones also have three microphones with OZO technology and stereo speakers. On board we also find Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E and a full range of navigation systems. There was not enough space for a microSD card, but the chargers are included. Smartphones differ in memory variants (the basic one can have up to 16 GB of RAM, and the Pro up to 18 GB) and additional elements on the rear panel. As in previous generations, the Pro version has an additional screen on the back, while the basic one has only LED backlight. There are also different colours: the base can be in black or white, the Pro model - only in white.

There was an extensive processor cooling system, and in addition - you can also buy a cooling cap. The GameCool 6 cooling system features a 30% larger steam chamber and 85% larger graphite thermal pads. There are also additional keys for players, as well as the ability to navigate using a gyroscope. Of course, the Android 12 system with the ROG UI & Zen UI interface has also been enriched with typical gaming elements.
