As announced, India the budget smartphone Redmi A1 debuted today. How was it priced?
Redmi A1 is a really budget design. The smartphone has been offered for now in a version with a modest 2+32 GB memory, at a promotional price of 6499 rupees, or 82 USD. After the promotion period, the price will jump to 9,000. rupees ($ 113). As you may remember, the rest of the specification of the new Redmi is as modest as the memory.

Redmi A1 has a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Helio A22 processor, LPDDR4X memory and eMMC 5.1. It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with a 10-watt charging system, and we have Android Go as the system. Selfie is provided by a 5-megapixel camera in a droplet screen, and the rest of the photos are taken care of by rear cameras with 8 and 0.3 Mpx matrices and f/2.0 and f/2.2 apertures. The plastic housing with a texture imitating leather is available in three colors and has dimensions of 164.9x76.75x9.09 mm, and the entire device weighs 192 g. The smartphone also has a mini-jack and a triple card slot (separate microSD and DualSIM), but it lacks a line reader fingerprint.
