Some time ago, Vivo presented a budget smartphone Vivo Y01. Now, for now, in Thailand, proposes an even more budget model - Vivo Y01A.
What - according to Vivo - is the recipe for making a budget smartphone even more budget? Straight. It should be cut down from a few more tolerable elements from the original plan. It fell on the camera and memory. Is it a good way? I'm afraid not, and wanting to lower the price doesn't justify it. Already Vivo Y01 was not very impressive, and Vivo Y01A turns out to be... even less impressive! What has he "taken away"?

The new model received a weaker camera than its predecessor. We have 8 megapixels instead of 13. The same has been done with the memory. The modest 3 GB of RAM from the original was cut to an exaggeratedly modest 2 GB. Android 11 in the GO version will not help much here. Fortunately, the internal memory of 32 GB has not been touched, as well as all the rest of the equipment, i.e. the microSD card slot, the MediaTek Helio P35 processor or the 6.51-inch HD+ screen. Maybe there was nothing left to trim...? The 5000 mAh battery looks the best (still!), although it charges with only 10 W. So how much did you manage to cut the price? Vivo Y01A costs 3,999 baht ($113) in Thailand which is about 150 USD.
