We already know the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G model - but it has just appeared in a completely new, completely different version. What does the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G model with the designation SM-A233 look like, which is offered in Japan?
The Japanese variant of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G looks completely different than "ours". It is smaller, has a screen with a diagonal of "only" 5.8 inches, so it can be safely called compact. The screen is invariably made in TFT technology, but its resolution in the Japanese version has been reduced to HD+. The screen has a droplet indentation for a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera, in turn, was cut from additional matrices - only one, 50-megapixel, with a lens with f/1.8 aperture remained.

The heart of the Japanese variant was the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. All this is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. The equipment is complemented by e.g. NFC or eSIM, a microSD card slot and a side fingerprint reader. In Japan, this model is priced at 36,900 yen, or $230. For comparison, the "global" version of Galaxy A23 5G costs less than $320 - but actually, we are talking about two completely different smartphones. Anyway, see for yourself: here's comparison of the Galaxy A23 5G version.
