We recently wrote that Huawei will dress up as Wiko and return to the game on the local 5G market - and today we have the launch of the first Chinese Wiko.
Wiko, although it once tried to be considered a French brand, remained in Chinese hands from the beginning. Now he doesn't even have to hide it anymore, because he works in the home market, where he helps Huawei to appear on the 5G smartphone market. Huawei itself cannot - as a result of US sanctions - sell 5G smartphones with its own logo, but Wiko is not subject to the ban. Hence we have Huawei Nova 9 SE as Wiko 5G.
Technically, these smartphones are almost no different. Just Wiko 5G is equipped with a 5G modem and dressed up in new colours. In other words, Wiko 5G has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 695 processor and a 4000 mAh battery with 66 -watt charging. The smartphone also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera, a 108-megapixel main camera and additional 8+2+2 Mpx rear cameras. As a system - of course, HarmonyOS from Huawei. The version with 8+128 GB memory costs 1999 yuan, and 8+256 GB - 2199 yuan. After conversion, it's $289 and $319.
