The last day was not happy for Samsung. First renders of new flagships leaked, then specs of Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ . Now it's time for the Galaxy S23 Ultra! We already know everything!
This time the network leaked the so-called. OnePagers, i.e. concise, one-page infographics describing the new device in detail. In addition to the graphics confirming the previous information about the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, they also show us the data that was missing - the Galaxy S23 Ultra specification. Something tells me that the launch scheduled for February 1st will be just a formality.
So let's move on to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. According to the disclosed data, the smartphone will receive a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 3088 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate adjustable from 1 to 120 Hz. The screen will have HDR10+ certification, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass and a hole for a 12-megapixel selfie camera (Infinity-O). This camera is to have an aperture of f/2.2, the equivalent of a focal length of 25 mm and a field of view of 80 degrees. On the back of the housing there are four cameras and an LED flash. Here are the individual modules:
- Main 200 megapixels, f/1.7 with OIS, 23mm focal length, 85 degree field of view
- 12 megapixel wide angle, f/2.2, 13mm focal length, 120 degree field of view
- 10 megapixel portrait telephoto, f/2.4 with OIS, 69mm focal length, 36 degree field of view, 3x lossless zoom
- 10 megapixel periscope telephoto, f/4.9 with OIS, 230mm focal length, 11 degree field of view, 10x lossless (or hybrid...?) zoom, 100x digital space zoom
The heart of the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will be supported by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory (not 5X!) and 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of flash memory, without a microSD slot. Power will be provided by a 5000 mAh battery with 45-watt wired charging, 10-watt inductive charging and (probably) reverse charging. The equipment will also include two speakers with Dolby Atmos, a fingerprint reader, a gyroscope, a barometer, an accelerometer and a light sensor. In addition to 5G, we will also see Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, UWB, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB-C and GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo modules. The housing with dimensions of 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm will be IP68 certified and will appear in black, green, cream and lavender. The whole smartphone is to weigh 233 g.
Finally, it is worth adding that all models in the Galaxy S23 series will receive the Android 13 operating system with the One UI 5.1 interface. In each we also find support for eSIM, as well as pre-installed a full suite of Google applications, nine Samsung applications and five third-party applications.
