HMD Global presented a new, budget smartphone Nokia C12, which will replace the two-year-old model Nokia C10. Unfortunately, the phone still looks like a trip into the past.
Nokia C12 is by definition a cheap phone, so it can be forgiven for its plastic (but even shapely) housing, weak cameras or 6.3-inch screen HD+ with a wide "chin". It would also be possible to experience the internal eMMC memory with a capacity of 64 GB, because it can be enlarged with a microSD card. The same applies to the light version of Android - that is 12 Go. Unfortunately, the octa-core Unisoc SC9863A1 processor, built in archaic 28 nm lithography, combined with only 2 GB of RAM will not allow the phone to run smoothly, even with a basic set of resource-saving applications. Yes, 2 GB of virtual RAM has been added, and such smartphones are usually chosen by less demanding users - but what the new Nokia offers may not even satisfy them.

As a consolation, users of this model will be able to take a 5-megapixel selfie or an 8-megapixel view with the rear camera, listen to music or radio via a minijack, or enjoy safety thanks to the 2-year support of this model by the manufacturer in terms of quarterly security updates. It will also be nice to look at the relatively nice colors of the housing or its practicality, enhanced by a pattern that improves the grip or protection against moisture in the IP52 class. The equipment is powered by a 3000 mAh battery, but of course without fast charging. For all this you have to pay 120 euros.
