Today was the official launch of POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro 5G. It's time to confirm their specs and look at the prices.
New models are promoted with the slogan "Key to win". Will they become such a key for the producer? It is possible, because the prices seem to be calculated with sense, although of course we can sadly say "it was already cheap"... Still, it is possible that smartphones will sell quite well - but will they be the key to winning also for their buyers...? Let's see!
POCO X5 5G
POCO X5 5G was given the thankless role of the base model. As such, it offers a 6.67-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, brightness up to 1200 nits, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio and full coverage of the DCI P3 color gamut. The screen refreshes the image with a frequency of 120, and the touch - 240 Hz. The screen has a hole for a 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.45). The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 695 processor, combined with LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 memories. Power is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging. The main camera has a matrix of 48 megapixels (f/1.8), and the wide-angle - 8 Mpx (f/2.2, 118 degrees). The set is complemented by a 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4). POCO X5 5G is offered in 6+128GB for $249 and 8+256GB for $299. Starting prices are cut to $199 and $249, respectively.

POCO X5 Pro 5G
POCO X5 Pro 5G is the more powerful one. It has a screen with a similar size resolution and refresh rate as the base model - but with a wider 10-bit color palette - but with a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and brightness up to 900 nits. This screen also boasts 1920 Hz PWM Dimming technology and Dolby Vision certification. The Pro model also got a more powerful processor - Snapdragon 778G, combined with LPDDR4X memory (with virtual RAM) and UFS 2.2. The battery, invariably, has a capacity of 5000 mAh, but it charges with a power of 67 W. Additional cameras - i.e. wide-angle, macro and selfie - are similar to the base model. So we have: 8 Mpx (f/2.2, 120 degrees), 2 Mpx (f/2.4) and 16 Mpx (f/2.4). The main matrix was replaced with a 108-megapixel one (f/1.9). The smartphone's equipment is complemented by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Unfortunately, you have to pay more for a bigger goodie... More specifically: USD 299 for the version with 6+128 GB memories and USD 349 for the 8+256 GB set. At launch, prices are reduced to $249 and $299.
