Vivo today presented two foldable smartphones - Vivo X Flip and Vivo X Fold2 - as well as the new tablet Vivo Pad 2. Let's meet the new devices!

Vivo X Flip

Vivo X Flip is a foldable smartphone in the form of a flip. It was given a rather typical form, with a fairly large, rectangular, 3-inch display on the outside of the flap. Next to it is a round camera frame with the Zeiss logo, equipped with a Sony IMX866v 50-megapixel main matrix with OIS and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX663 wide-angle module. The internal, flexible screen of the phone has a diagonal of 6.74 inches, Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is mounted in the hole of this screen. The heart of the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor clocked at 3.2 GHz, supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory. Vivo X Flip is powered by a 4400 mAh battery that charges with 44 W. Vivo X Flip is priced at 5999 or 6699 yuan, respectively for the 12+256 and 12+512 GB variants. Converted, it's $872-975.

Vivo X Fold 2

Vivo X Fold2 already has a classic "fold" design in the form of a book, with an external AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.53 inches, a resolution of 2520x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The internal, foldable screen has a size of 8.03 inches, a resolution of 2160x1916 pixels, a brightness of up to 1800 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and was made in AMOLED E6 technology. Vivo X Fold 2 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor clocked up to 3.2 GHz and supported by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 flash memory and the V2 image processing system. Vivo X Fold 2 is powered by a 4800 mAh battery with 120-watt wired charging and 50-watt inductive charging. The smartphone is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 camera with optical image stabilization, as well as a wide-angle camera and a camera with a telephoto lens - both 12 Mpx. The set is complemented by two 16 Mpx selfie cameras. Vivo X Fold 2 costs 8999 yuan for the 12+256 GB variant or 9999 yuan for the 12+512 GB model. Converting, it's $1308-1454.

Vivo Pad 2

The range of today's launches is completed by the Vivo Pad 2 tablet. It is equipped with a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2800x2000 pixels, an image refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, with support for the optional Vivo Pencil 2 stylus. The heart of the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 octa-core processor, supported LPDDR4x and UFS 3.1 memory with capacities from 8+128 GB and above. The equipment of the device is complemented by four stereo speakers and three cameras: 8 Mpx at the front and 13+2 Mpx at the back. The tablet is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery with a 44-watt charging system. Everything is enclosed in a neat and slim housing with a thickness of 6.6 mm, offered in three colours. There are many memory versions to choose from:

  • 8+128GB - 2399 yuan, $349
  • 8+256GB - 2799 yuan, $407
  • 12+256GB - 3099 yuan, $450
  • 12+512GB - 3399 yuan, $495
