In line with last week's announcements, HMD Global has unveiled a rugged smartphone Nokia XR21.
Nokia XR21 is the successor to Nokia XR20. Like its predecessor, the Nokia XR21 has a rugged housing with IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certification. This means that the phone will withstand contact with clean water and falls from over one and a half meters. In addition, the manufacturer adds a 3-year warranty and 4-year security patch support. Unfortunately, the phone debuted with the somewhat old Android 12 system, but Nokia promises three "big" updates - that is, the phone will receive Android 15.

Nokia XR21 has a textured aluminum and plastic body for a firm grip and scratch resistance, while the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. In addition, the manufacturer provides free replacement of the damaged screen for one year from the purchase of the device. The camera is covered with Gorilla Glass DX glass, which reduces unwanted reflections. In terms of specifications, Nokia XR21 is a mid-range model. It has a 6.49-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, with a touch panel that allows operation with gloves and a wet hand. The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 695 processor, supported by 6+128 GB memory. In the photographic part, we find the main camera of 64 Mpx with f/1.8 aperture and the wide-angle 8 Mpx f/2.2, as well as 16 Mpx f/2.5 for selfies. All this is powered by a 4800 mAh battery with a 33-watt charging system. There are two housing colors to choose from: Midnight Black and Pine Green. So far, we only know the price for the UK market. It is £500.
