JCB has its smartphones too!

Smartphones with the CAT logo have been on the market for a good few years - but they have gained competition. Another heavy equipment giant - JCB - is now releasing smartphones bearing its logo.

Relax, phones are not made on the same production line as excavators. As in the case of CAT, they are produced under license from JCB. Simply put - the tycoon of the heavy machinery market simply lent its logo to Genuine Case Company Ltd, registered in Great Britain, which is responsible for smartphones. And these - of course, are made in China and do not differ from dozens of similar models produced by local companies. Here, however, we pay extra for the logo of a well-known brand... Currently, there are two smartphones to choose from: JCB Toughphone and JCB Toughphone MAX. As you can easily guess - we are talking about the base model and more advanced...

JCB Toughphone

JCB Toughphone costs £300 (PLN 1549) and is IP68 and MIL Spec 810G certified and has Gorilla Glass with screen protector - but it was not specified which version of GG... The smartphone is based on the MediaTek Helio P22 processor, which supports a tolerable set of memory - 6+128 GB. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD+ display and two 20-megapixel cameras - front and rear. Power is provided by a 4050 mAh battery with unspecified fast charging, and the Android 13 operating system has been enriched with the JCB Toolbox software package. The equipment is complemented by NFC and Push to Talk.

JCB Toughphone MAX

JCB Toughphone MAX already costs £600, but it is a much more interesting model. He received a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, and he already got 8+256 GB of memory. The great (literally) advantage of this smartphone is the battery with a capacity of 12200 mAh, sufficient for 30 days of standby and enriched with "some" fast charging system. It is worth mentioning here that JCB does not add chargers to its smartphones... JCB Toughphone MAX has a Full HD+ screen (again with unspecified GG glass ) and a fingerprint reader or NFC and Push to Talk. It also has 5G and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera is quite extensive - it has a main matrix of 48 Mpx, a 16-megapixel wide-angle module, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a VGA background blurr. Like the base model, it also offers tightness and durability in accordance with IP68 and MIL Spec 810G certificates.
