Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 hit Now available for pre-order, along with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 flagship tablets and Galaxy Watch6 smartwatches. Time to take a closer look at them!

Both of this year's Samsung foldables received the accelerated Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor known from Galaxy S23 Ultra. In the case of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, it is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of internal memory, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 offers 12 GB of RAM and an additional variant with 1000 GB of file space. Both devices also feature IPX8 water resistance and a new Flex Hinge with an improved design that allows them to fold completely flat. In the case of Galaxy Z Flip 5, this reduced the thickness of the folded device from 17.1 mm to 15.1 mm, and in the case of Galaxy Z Fold 5 it decreased to 13.4 mm compared to 15.8 mm of its predecessor.

The new generation of the large fold is largely similar to last year's Galaxy Z Fold 4, but not without a few changes. The foldable main display is again a 7.6-inch AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 1812 x 2176 px and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but this time it boasts a higher maximum brightness of 1750 nits. The manufacturer also promises that the new foldable screen is 25% more durable than its predecessor. The brightness of the 6.2-inch external screen has also increased to 1200 nits.

A nice new addition is the Slim S Pen Case, which offers a comfortable grip for the S Pen Fold Edition stylus without being thicker than a regular case. The stylus itself has been significantly slimmed down and is now 4.35mm thick instead of last year's predecessor's 7.7mm.

Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold offers advanced multitasking capabilities, aided by an improved taskbar and two-handed drag and drop function that allows you to easily move content between screens and apps. The cameras remain familiar - on the back we find a 50 Mpx main camera, a 12 Mpx wide-angle and a 10 Mpx telephoto lens, a 10 Mpx external screen for selfies, and a 4 Mpx internal camera is suitable for video calls.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 impresses with its display

The novelty of the foldable foldable is visible at first glance - the external display is now 3.4 inches and offers much more possibilities than the relatively small screen Galaxy Z Flip 4. You can now reply to text messages, quickly switch between widgets, read the time from the clock face known from the Galaxy Watch 6, take selfies with the main camera with a much clearer preview, and then edit them without opening the phone. The camera set is again the main 12 Mpx camera, 12 Mpx wide-angle and 10 Mpx in the hole on the internal screen, well suited for video calls on a half-open phone. Unlike the external screen, the foldable main display did not need many improvements, so again we are dealing with a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2640 px and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, it offers 25% more durability this year.

The batteries of the new foldable smartphones remain the same as last year - 3700mAh capacity for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and 4400mAh for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, with 25W charging. Fortunately, the Galaxy Z Flip4 saw a significant improvement in this matter , so the new flip smartphone should also offer a pretty good run time.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 ditches LCD screen

The new tablets look similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy S23 series - they are devices with top-shelf specifications with the accelerated Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the forefront, but in the end very similar to their predecessors last year. New this year is the IP68 tightness class, which will allow you to use the new Galaxy Tab without fear that we will get caught in the rain. Outdoor use is also favored by the fact that this time the AMOLED display received not only the Galaxy Tab S9 + and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, but also the basic Galaxy Tab S9, whose predecessor only offered an LTPS TFT screen. Now all models offer better colors and brightness. All models will also receive more internal memory this year.

The rest of the specifications of the new tablets are already similar to the Galaxy Tab S8 series. Galaxy Tab S9 has an 11-inch display, a 13 Mpx main camera, a 12 Mpx front camera and an 8400 mAh battery. Galaxy Tab S9+ has a 12.4-inch screen, 10090 mAh battery and more cameras - 13 Mpx and 8 Mpx on the back and two 12 Mpx on the front. All three models feature a 2X AMOLED screen with dynamic refresh rate from 60 to 120Hz, Android 13 OS, S Pen stylus and the ability to expand the file storage by 1TB with a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 with large dimensions

What will the new Samsung smartwatches bring? Size first - The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in a 47mm size, making it the largest smartwatch in Samsung's lineup. The novelty, however, is not the rotating ring that facilitates navigation through the interface and additionally protects the screen from impacts, but last year it was absent, because there was also no Classic version - there was only a standard Samsung Galaxy Watch5 and Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro. There is no Pro version this time, Classic is back!

Both smartwatches feature a sapphire-protected AMOLED screen with a resolution of 432×432 or 480×480 depending on size. They are powered by the Exynos W930 processor accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, and the battery, depending on the size variant, has a capacity of 300 mAh or 425 mAh.
