As expected, Oppo A38 debuted without much publicity, as befits a simple, cheap smartphone.
There was no grand launch, Oppo A38 just appeared on the website of the company's branch in the United Arab Emirates . Of course, the gold version is mainly promoted, but black is also provided for more modest users. The most important thing is that the smartphone looks more expensive than the specification shows. And this one is typically budget. So we have a 6.56-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1612x720 px and a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a MediaTek Helio G80 processor accompanied by 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of internal eMMC 5.1, the latter can be expanded with a microSD card, and the first - with virtual RAM -em. The smartphone powers a 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging, and Android 13 with the ColorOS 13.1 overlay and the promise of support with updates for at least 2.5 years act as the system.

Oppo A38 is equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 50 Mpx f/1.8 main camera and a 2 Mpx f/ 2.4 next to the LED flash. There was also a minijack, and the housing with dimensions of 163.74x75.03x8.16 mm offers IP54 tightness. The smartphone weighs 190 g. Prices for the UAE market have not yet been announced, but previous leaks mentioned that the Oppo A38 is expected to cost € 159 in Europe.
