Although we have known about the upcoming premiere of the new Galaxy Tab A series tablet for some time, we did not expect it to happen so... quietly. Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 simply appeared on the websites of Amazon in the United Arab Emirates and on the manufacturer's website... in Guatemala.
Thanks to the above-mentioned publications, we learned about the appearance and specifications of the tablet, as well as its prices - although they will probably be higher in Europe. In the United Arab Emirates, a device with 4+64 GB memory costs 699 dirahms, or $191, and in Guatremala, the price is 1,499 quetzales, or $193. Adding our European taxes, the price can be estimated at around 199-229 euros. Whether this would be a good proposition - the specifications will reveal.
In addition to not necessarily large memories, the tablet has an 8.7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 1340 pixels and - as we know from previous leaks - a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The equipment also includes 1 W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an LTE modem (probably optional), a microSD card slot and two undescribed cameras - I suspect at most 8-megapixel. Amazon also mentions the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ model, with a larger 11-inch screen with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a Snapdragon 695 processor. This variant would also be available in a variant with a 5G modem. According to Amazon, both tablets may also appear in variants with 8+128 GB memory - but their prices have not been disclosed yet. Apparently, the "real" launch is yet to come...
