Honor today introduced its new Honor Magic Vs2 foldable smartphone in China, as well as its new Honor Watch 4 Pro smartwatch.
Honor Magic Vs2 impresses primarily with its slim casing. When closed - it is slightly thicker than a typical, non-foldable smartphone - it is 10.1 mm - and when opened, it is even more impressive, because half of the housing is 5.1 mm thick. This is probably a record... Despite its slimness, the housing managed to fit a battery that is quite large for a foldable case. It has a capacity of 5000 mAh and charges with a power of 66 W. The heart of Magic is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, supported by 12+256 or 16+512 GB memory. The equipment is complemented by decent cameras. The main one has a 50-megapixel matrix and f/1.9 aperture, while the wide-angle one has 12 megapixels and f/2.2 aperture. The set is complemented by a 20-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens, optical stabilization and f/2.4 aperture and a 16 Mpx selfie camera. The displays are made in OLED technology. The external one has a diagonal of 6.43 inches, a resolution of 2376x1060 px and a 20:9 aspect ratio, while the internal, foldable one measures 7.92 inches with a 9.78:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2344x2156 px. There are three housing colors to choose from, and the prices are 6,999 and 7,699 yuan for the 12+256 and 16+512 GB versions, respectively. After conversion, we have prices of USD 960-1055.
