The rumours about Xiaomi killing the MIUI interface turned out to be true, although not entirely. This interface will be replaced by Hyper OS, not MiOS as previously reported.
The information that after 13 years Xiaomi will abandon MIUI in favor of the new Hyper OS is actually official. He provided it on his former Twitter the deputy head of Xiaomi Global, Alvin Tse. According to his information, Hyper OS will debut with Xiaomi 14, and - let us remind you - Xiaomi's debut 14 is expected at the beginning of November. Alvin Tse announced that Hyper OS is a platform designed not only for smartphones, but also for hundreds of ecosystem devices. It will connect all upcoming Xiaomi devices into a coherent ecosystem. The system will probably also be used in the upcoming Xiaomi car.
In turn, the head of Xiaomi Lei Jun wrote on Weibo that the first work on Hyper OS began in 2017, and since In 2017, the platform was already being developed at full speed. Hyper OS is based on Vela's own system, based on a deeply modified Android. The entire system architecture was rebuilt to make it as universal as possible. Lei Jun confirmed that "Fourteens" with the new system are already rolling off the production lines, adding that "it will gradually replace MIUI". This can be understood as the possibility of updating other, recent models of the brand to the new platform - although no one has directly announced this.
