The long-announced launch of the iQOO 12 series smartphones took place in China today. These models are characterized by an interesting style, strong specification, and decent cameras.
The iQOO 12 series smartphones use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors, supported by LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memories. Smartphones also have an additional Q1 coprocessor that supports graphics processing, among others. in games, as well as an extensive cooling system. The new models are also equipped with 6.78-inch AMOLED E7 displays with an image refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and brightness of up to 3,000 nits. The screens differ in resolution: in iQOO 12 it is 2800x1260 px, and in iQOO 12 Pro - 3200x1440 px. The screens have 2160 Hz PWM dimming and holes for 16-megapixel selfie cameras (f/2.45). The power supply is provided by 5000 mAh batteries with 120-watt charging. In addition, models from the iQOO 12 range boast an IP68 tightness class and Hi-Res certified stereo speakers and X-axis vibration. The smartphones feature the newly announced OriginOS 4 interface, which will also be available in Vivo X100 and is based on Android 14.

The iQOO 12 series has decent cameras. The basis is a 50-megapixel matrix with a size of 1/1.3" with optical image stabilization and a lens with an f/1.68 aperture. Next to it there is another 50-megapixel camera, this time wide-angle, with an f/2.0 aperture. The third camera has a 64- megapixel matrix and a periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.57 aperture, giving a digital zoom of up to 100x. The telephoto camera also has optical stabilization.
