The already known Redmi 13C model has today been joined by a new variant, Redmi 13C 5G. The new model has not only a different processor, but also a camera.
Despite the changes that bring the possibility of using the 5G network, Redmi 13C 5G - just like the LTE variant - is a budget smartphone. This budget-friendly approach is visible at first glance. The 6.74-inch LCD screen has HD+ resolution and a fairly wide frame - but as a consolation it refreshes the image at a frequency of 90 Hz. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass and achieves a peak brightness of 600 nits, with a typical 450 nits. The heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, supported by LPDDR4X operating memory available in 4, 6 or 8 GB variants and UFS 2.2 internal memory of 128 or 256 GB. Interestingly, the 5G model received a weaker selfie camera than the LTE version. This camera has only 5 megapixels, but on the back there is a camera with a 50-megapixel matrix, f/1.8 aperture and an additional background blur. The power supply is provided by a 5000 mAh battery, charging at 18 W, although only a 10 W charger is included in the set. The equipment includes, among others: side fingerprint reader, minijack and triple card slot - DualSIM and microSD. The smartphone is available in colors called Starlight Black, Startail Green and Startrail Silver. Its prices in India, where it debuted, are as follows:
- 4+128 GB - USD 120
- 6+128 GB - USD 140
- 8+256 GB - USD 160
