At this year's fair in Barcelona, the Tecno brand showed, among others, a new smartphone with an impressive battery, a game controller with AR glasses, new materials for smartphones, and a robo-dog.
What makes Tecno Pova 6 Pro stand out?
Like Tecno Pova 5 Pro and other smartphones in this series, Tecno Pova 6 Pro offers an impressive 6000 mAh battery, charged with with a power of 70 W using the charger included in the set. The smartphone also offers 10 W reverse charging, but this is only one of its charging advantages. The distinguishing feature of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro battery is, among other things, its resistance to extreme weather conditions - the phone can be charged at temperatures from 20°C to 60°C. The charger socket can also detect moisture and warn the user, as well as avoid a short circuit in the event of a pinch, squeeze or impact.
The Tecno Pova 6 Pro battery is claimed to be enough for 11 hours of playing games, 14 hours of watching movies or 31 hours of calls. The smartphone also has several ways to preserve the battery life: you can adjust the charging speed yourself, choosing between slower charging at low temperatures (the battery will then be filled within 69 minutes), intelligent charging that adapts the charging speed to the power and temperature, or charging at the maximum speed.

Another novelty of Tecno Pova 6 Pro is the Dolby Atmos system supporting sound quality, for the first time in a smartphone of this brand. Dual stereo speakers are accompanied by an equally good 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits brightness. Performance will be provided by the Mediatek Dimensity 6080 5G processor supported by a cooling surface of 27,342 mm², as well as 256 GB of internal memory and 12 GB of RAM, which can be expanded with an additional 12 GB of virtual RAM. Despite the gaming styling, Tecno Pova 6 Pro also has a good set for photos - on the front there is a 108 Mpx main camera, and on the front a 32 Mpx selfie camera.
Tecno Pova 6 Pro will debut at the end of February in India, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, and after some time it will also be available in other regions.
Other Tecno news for MWC 2024
Transsion is becoming an increasingly important player on the global market, and their devices at technology fairs confirm this. A year ago at MWC 2023, Tecno presented its first foldable smartphone Phantom V Fold, and at the Xiaomi stand you could see, among others, four-legged robot. Tecno didn't want to be worse, and that's how Dynamic 1 was created - a robo-dog inspired by a German Shepherd that can recognize aloud commands, give a paw and climb stairs.

At the Tecno stand there is also Pocket Go, a set of a compact Windows game controller and augmented reality glasses, as well as new materials that will decorate future smartphones - multi-colored pseudo-leather, colored glass with various textures, a frameless foldable screen, and even a screen that can show a three-dimensional image without glasses, like Nubia Pad 3D. It was also mentioned that satellite communication can be expected in future Tecno products.
