Today, two new mid-range devices, Motorola Moto G 5G (2024) and Moto G Power 5G (2024), debuted in the US. What do they offer and how much do they cost?
Motorola Moto G 5G (2024)
Motorola Moto G 5G (2024) is a cheaper and less advanced model from a pair of new products. It is based on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, but unfortunately supported by only 4 GB of RAM - although there is also an option of 4 GB virtual RAM. The smartphone has a "classic" 128 GB of internal memory and a 5000 mAh battery charging with a power of 15 W. The LCD screen has a diagonal of 6.6 inches and refreshes the image at a frequency of 120 Hz, but unfortunately its resolution is only HD+. The photographic set is equally simple - we have an 8-megapixel selfie camera and a set of 50+2 Mpx matrices on the back. An additional camera takes macro shots. This model will be offered for $199.99.

Motorola Moto G Power 5G (2024)
Motorola Moto G Power 5G (2024) received a 6.7-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and an image refresh rate of 120 Hz. The heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 processor supported by 8 GB of RAM, 8 GB of virtual RAM and UFS 2.2 internal memory with a capacity of 128 GB. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, charging wired with a power of 30 W and wirelessly - which is new in the Moto G series - with a power of 15 W. The smartphone also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera and a rear camera with a 50-megapixel matrix and an optical Image Stabilization. The camera set is complemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 118-degree field of view - with a macro function. The smartphone was valued at $299.99.
Both new models have the Android 14 operating system, minijack outputs, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Both also have NFC and a microSD slot, as well as basic hydrophobic protection in case of accidental getting wet. The new Moto G will be available in the USAin March - and we in Europe will probably know them under different names.
