Huawei has just announced the international premiere of three, seemingly completely new models from the Huawei Nova 12 series. What do Huawei Nova 12i, Huawei Nova 12s and Huawei 12 SE offer?
In appearance, the three new models are completely dissimilar to each other, and for good reason - Only one of them, Huawei Nova 12i, is a completely original device. We have already seen Huawei Nova 12s in China as Huawei Nova 12 Lite , and even then it was a lookalike of Huawei Nova 11, distinguished only by a new operating system. Huawei Nova 12 SE debuted in China as Huawei Nova 11 SE, but so as not to feel aggrieved by the delayed premiere, it will appear on the global market with a higher number.

What will the three new models offer us, apart from confusing names? Overall - mid-range specifications. Huawei Nova 12i has an unimpressive 6.7-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution with 90 Hz refresh rate, but a good main camera - 108 Mpx, with f/1.9 aperture. Unfortunately, next to it, on the large island of rear cameras, there is only a 2 Mpx depth sensor, and the front selfie camera will offer a resolution of 8 Mpx. The situation is better with the battery - the battery capacity of the Huawei Nova 12i is 5000 mAh, and the 40 W charger with Huawei SuperCharge technology will charge the phone from zero to 62% in half an hour. Another noteworthy detail is that the charger is included in the set.
The processor of the Huawei Nova 12i is Snapdragon 680, as usual for Huawei without 5G connectivity. The smartphone also has 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, and its operating system is EMUI 14 - the same applies to all three models. Huawei Nova 12i will be available in black or green.
Huawei Nova 12s is based on Huawei Nova 11, but it has a new operating system and a new, intensive blue color. Its technical parameters do not disappoint either - its 6.7-inch Full HD+ display is OLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, its processor is Snapdragon 788G, and next to the 50 Mpx main camera on the back there is an 8 Mpx wide-angle camera. For people interested in selfies and vlogs, this may be the most attractive of the three models, because it has a 60 Mpx camera on the front. Its battery is slightly less capacious, having 4500 mAh, but it charges with a power of 66 W.
Huawei Nova 12 SE at first glance, it looks the least interesting of the three models, but appearances are deceiving - especially in terms of cameras. Unlike Huawei Nova 12i, armed with a flash pretending to be a camera and an additional dummy, Huawei Nova 12 SE has three rear cameras, although from a distance you might think it has two! As usual in the mid-range, the additional cameras are much more modest than the main one... but they are there. In total, we have a 108 Mpx main camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8 Mpx f/2.2 wide-angle camera, and a 2 Mpx f/2.4 macro camera. The selfie camera in the hole at the front is also not bad, with a resolution of 32 Mpx and an aperture of f/2.45.
In terms of other parameters, Huawei Nova 12 SE is between Nova 12i and Nova 12s. Its processor is Snapdragon 680, its 6.69-inch OLED display offers Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, and the battery has the best of the three models, combining a capacity of 5000 mAh with 66 W charging.
The prices and availability of Huawei Nova 12i, Huawei Nova 12s and Huawei Nova 12 SE may be announced soon - Huawei will announce them separately in individual markets.
