The long-awaited Xiaomi clamshell smartphone will have its premiere soon. The manufacturer is happy to boast about its parameters and appearance, which has undergone many metamorphoses over the last few years!
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun published on Weibo two days before the premiere, a video shedding light on the long production process of Xiaomi Mix Flip and demonstrating some prototypes. There were many options, and some of them looked rather modest - one of them looks almost like Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G or the cheapest among flip-flop foldables, and the second one resembles Huawei Pocket 2 or Oppo Find N2 Flip ... but without an external screen.

The final product does not look the most original, but it is hard to deny its attractiveness. Like Motorola RAZR 50 Ultra or Honor Magic V Flip it has a display covering the entire upper half of the outer casing, interrupted only by cameras, although in this case they are larger and one of them houses a flash above the lens. We already know that the main camera will offer a 50 Mpx resolution and OIS, and the second one will be a 60 Mpx telephoto lens. The large external screen according to manufacturer's data will be 4.01-inch, with a resolution of 1.5 and a brightness of 1600 rivets, with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal protective glass.
The new flap will also satisfy in other respects, for example because it is the only one on the market, apart from Galaxy Z Flip5, that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor 3 (the mentioned Motorola uses a similar, but slightly more modest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3), and will also be equipped with a 4780 mAh battery charged with a power of 67 W. Compact foldables are usually inferior to classic flagships in terms of batteries, so for Xiaomi Mix Flip it will be quite an advantage. The efficient processor will be accompanied by fast LPDDRX RAM and UFS 4.0 internal memory, and a vapor chamber with a 3D cooling system should protect against overheating.

Xiaomi Mix Flip will debut in China on July 19, and what next? So far, Xiaomi has been hesitant to sell its foldable smartphones outside China, although this time it may be a little different. Current information suggests that the large Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is unlikely to see a global launch, but Xiaomi Mix Flip should also go on sale in other countries.
