It seems that next year's Apple smartphone offer will undergo a revolutionary change. The Plus model will disappear from the offer, and its place will be taken by the Air, impressive in its slimness.
iPhone Air, previously known as iPhone Slim, has already appeared in leaks. It was said that it would be a completely new version, in a slim casing different from other models. Now another, more specific leak about this construction has appeared. Apple specialist Jon Prosser claims that the new model will replace the Plus variant in the iPhone 17 series, but will remain more or less at its (or higher) price level, although it may be technically simpler. The difference, however, will probably be the low weight of the device and the slimness of its housing. The thickness of the iPhone air case will be about 5 millimeters - it will not be a record value in the history of smartphones (let us mention the models Gionee Elife S5.1 or Vivo X5 Max from years ago!) - but for today's times - impressive.

Everything indicates that iPhone Air may be significantly simplified compared to the main models and, in principle, could be called Lite - but Apple will perversely avoid this type of associations, neatly referring to the naming of iPads and MacBooks. iPhone 17 Air is to have a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 2740x1260 pixels, with a cutout for Face ID and Dynamic Island. The heart of the device will probably be the company's next Apple A19 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM, and it can also be expected that the battery will not be larger than 4500 mAh - due to the thickness of the casing. Interestingly, iPhone Air is said to have only one camera on the back, which may be shocking in the fall of 2025, when this model is released. The price of this new product may also be shocking - if, of course, it hits the market at all...
