We recently got to know the appearance of the iPhone 16, and today we will take a look at the cameras of the new Apple smartphones and the new Capture Button.
We will start with the Capture Button. It will be nothing more than an additional shutter release button for the camera. It is to work only in photography applications - native and third-party, allowing you to take photos directly, such as Instagram or messengers. This key will be included in all variants of the iPhone 16, but it will not be mechanical, but touch. However, it is to recognize the pressure and work in two stages, like in classic cameras. Light pressure will focus, and stronger pressure will take a photo. Swipe gestures will also be possible - e.g. to adjust the zoom. However, the application developer will be able to program it at their discretion in the API.
Time for cameras. Here there will probably be no great revolution. iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will receive "last year's" sets, but arranged in a vertical line. The main camera will be 48-megapixel, and the wide-angle camera will only receive a new lens, with a better aperture - f/2.2 instead of f/2.4. The base models will also receive a previously absent macro option. In turn, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will additionally feature a 12-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens with an f/2.8 aperture and 5x zoom - previously reserved exclusively for the largest iPhone, the Max. The Pro models will also feature 3K 120fps video recording with Dolby Vision.
