For several months, there has been information circulating about a thinner model of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, which was supposed to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or Z Fold 6 Ultra. According to the latest reports, the device will receive a completely different name.
Quite recently, the world was informed that there will be no thinner version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In July, we wrote about this that the project had been put on hold, but well-known informant Evan Blass suggested on the X platform that the thinner model of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be called the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Regardless of the name, rumors about this new variant have picked up again. According to reports, the device will be slightly thinner than the standard Galaxy Z Fold6, but will offer larger screens. Samsung's new foldable smartphone is said to feature a 6.5-inch external screen and an 8-inch internal screen, compared to 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch, respectively, in the Z Fold 6. Unfortunately, the thinner variant is expected to lose support for the S Pen stylus.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is scheduled to launch on September 25 in Korea and possibly in China. Unfortunately, this model will likely only be available in Asia.
