The Wiko Hi Enjoy 70 Pro 5G was launched in March this year, and now its more modest variant has gone on sale. It's hard not to notice the Huawei kinship, but it's not identical either.
Wiko Hi Enjoy 70 Pro 5G resembled the Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro, and the Wiko Hi Enjoy 70 is based on the Huawei Enjoy 70, but most of the parameters of Wiko smartphones are more modest than the originals. The exception is 5G connectivity, which is the biggest advantage of these budget devices - Huawei phones still have a problem offering it due to US sanctions, but the Wiko brand, despite its considerable kinship with Huawei, is able to avoid these restrictions.
In addition to fast connectivity, the Wiko Enjoy 70 5G stands out primarily for its low price and specifications adequate to it. Its display is a 6.75-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, interestingly also offering Always-On Display, although it is not adapted to this like the OLED screen. The smartphone's processor is the Mediatek Dimensity 700 presented in 2020, accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory that can be expanded with a memory card, as well as the HarmonyOS operating system. Its battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and can be charged at only 10 W, and it uses a 13 Mpx main camera and a 6 Mpx front camera in a droplet notch for photos. The camera island resembles the flagship Huawei P60 Pro, but don't expect miracles - in this case, the additional elements pretending to be cameras are just a flash and a decorative AI advertising badge.
Wiko Enjoy 70 5G is already available for pre-sale in the Chinese store JD.com, and will hit store shelves on September 6. There are Gold Black, Snow White and Ice Blue variants to choose from, as well as two memory options: the 6+128GB kit costs 999 yuan (around $140, €127), while the 8+256GB variant can be purchased for 1,399 yuan ($196, €178).
