A press conference was held in the US, where we saw the new iPhone 16 models, as well as the Apple Watch Series 10 and the refreshed Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the new Pods, or headphones.
What has changed in terms of styling? On the one hand, not much, because apart from further narrowing of the screen frames, the only new things in the Pro versions are the colors. There is more to be said about the basic versions. Here, the photographic frames are changed, narrowed to a narrow strip covering the vertically positioned lenses. Apple may be conservative in terms of smartphone styling, but you can't say that they need to be modernized by force... The biggest revolution in the iPhone 16 is the introduction of an additional key, acting as a camera shutter button. This is a really good idea. This key is also touch-sensitive - so you can control zooming, exposure or background blurring by dragging your finger across it. Another button - Action Button - previously reserved for the Pro models, has now been added to all variants.

Moving on to the technicalities - here too the changes are not very visible at first glance - but they are quite significant. All iPhone 16 models receive AMOLED displays with LTPO this season - but only the Pro versions will enjoy a 120 Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 16 is 6.1 inches in size, the Plus - 6.7 inches, the iPhone 16 Pro is 6.3 inches, and the largest screen, 6.9 inches, went to the Pro Max. All models are equipped with Apple A18 processors, and Apple traditionally did not provide information about the RAM that accompanies them. Supposedly, the base models have 8 GB, while the Pro - 12 GB RAM... Similarly, Apple is mysterious about the battery capacity. We do know that the Pro models charge with a wired output of 40 W and inductively with 20 W, while the base models charge with a cable output of 27 W and induction output of 15 W. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have left the photographic part unchanged. So we have a 48-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max now have two 48-megapixel cameras, a main camera and a wide-angle camera. Additionally, in these variants you can enjoy a 12-megapixel camera with a 5x telephoto lens. The widely announced artificial intelligence - Apple Intelligence - will appear with the iOS 18.1 update (probably in October) and will be available only in the US. iPhone 16 prices are as follows:

Among the new products is also the Apple Watch Series 10. It is available in 44 mm and 48 mm versions. It looks similar to the previous generation model, but is slimmer, 4.7 mm thick. It offers IP6x dust tightness and 50 m water tightness. The watch will be offered in GPS and GPS+Cellular variants, i.e. with cellular connectivity. The watch has a slightly enlarged OLED screen, and the heart of the device is the S10 processor. Among the new features in terms of health control, there is advanced sleep apnea monitoring, but the battery life of up to 18 hours remains unchanged. The device is supposed to charge faster. There are also new housing colors, which can be made of aluminum or titanium. Prices start at $ 399. The more expensive watch, Apple Watch Ultra 2, has also been refreshed. It can take on a new, black color, has a high-brightness screen - up to 3,000 nits - and military-grade MIL-STD 810H durability and water resistance up to 100 m. The price is $ 799.

Apple also presented the AirPods Max on-ear headphones in new colors, while also replacing the charging connector with a typical USB-C. There are no other changes, but fortunately the price has not changed either and is still $ 549. The AirPods Pro 2 in-ear headphones have also remained technically unchanged, but the software has improved hearing-improving features. The Apple AirPods 4 are a complete novelty, budget headphones that now have active noise reduction and inductive charging as options. Their shape has also been improved, providing a better fit in the ear. The basic version costs $129, with ANC - $179.
