HMD is increasingly focusing on its own brand smartphones, but from time to time it still sells phones with the Nokia logo. The latest one refers to the ten-year-old Nokia 108...

...but in terms of appearance and specifications it is much closer to the HMD 105, of which model it is an ordinary clone. Again, like the classic HMD mobile phone, the new Nokia 108 4G also has a 2.4-inch LCD screen, 4G VoLTE connectivity, a replaceable 1450 mAh battery, a 3.5 mm minijack socket and an LED flashlight. According to It Home, the model will cost 259 yuan (about $36, €33) and will come in black, pink, or turquoise.

HMD has already tapped into user nostalgia multiple times this year, reinventing phones with familiar names and looks, such as the Nokia 6310 2024, Nokia 235 4G 2024 and the Nokia 3210 2024. These devices typically offer a few modern conveniences, such as a larger display, a basic camera, a USB-C port, and 4G connectivity. The new Nokia 108 4G breaks the mold in a rather unusual way, because it has no camera at all, despite the fact that Nokia 108 from 2013 allowed for 640 x 480 photos with a VGA camera. Whether such a camera is better than nothing is a moot point.
