Whenever I think that Chinese manufacturers trying to imitate the iPhone with their smartphones can't get any lower, there's someone who knocks on the floor. This time it was Oukitel, which showed the Oukitel P1 model.
I have to admit that in the field of imitating the iPhone, Oukitel P1 is a really strong player. From a distance - you can be mistaken, for full imitation probably the only thing missing is an apple on the back of the casing. The smartphone has a similar design of the camera island and side panels, and even from the front it can be confused with the iPhone, especially when an imitation of a dynamic island appears on the screen. I wonder if the screen bezels are really as narrow as in the manufacturer's renders - but only those who decide to buy this wonder will find out. Unfortunately, as usual, the visual imitation is not followed by the technological imitation. But it's not all that tragic...
Oukitel P1 has a decent AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, with an under-screen fingerprint reader and a 6.7-inch diagonal and 120 Hz refresh rate. The 32-megapixel selfie camera placed in the screen hole also looks quite good, around which appears a strangely familiar notification system, named by the manufacturer (oh my!)... Dynamic Island. The 5150 mAh battery with 18-watt charging is also not bad, as is the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memory. The equipment is complemented by NFC and a hybrid microSD card slot. The main camera is less interesting, because apart from the main 50-megapixel matrix, it gives users access to only a macro eye and a background blur. The phone with 8+256 GB memory costs 170 dollars, which would be a good deal considering this specification... If it weren't for the controversial and somewhat downright brazen imitation.
