Asus has presented a cheaper alternative to the Asus ROG Phone 9 and Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro models, the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE model. What does the new smartphone offer?
Asus ROG Phone 9 FE, like the more powerful models, has a gaming style and expressive logos and LED backlighting on the back. It is only available in black and its dimensions are identical to the other models in the series, although slightly lighter. The heart of the smartphone is the ex-flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, supported by 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 internal memory, and powered by a 5500 mAh battery with 65-watt charging and induction.

Asus ROG Phone 9 FE has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate of 120 Hz, raised to 165 or 185 Hz in Game Genie mode. The screen reaches a brightness of up to 2500 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. There is a hole in the screen for a 32-megapixel selfie camera, while the main, 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera with a 1/1.56" matrix, f/1.9 aperture and gimbal optical stabilization is mounted on the back. Next to it is a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view, as well as a 5-megapixel macro camera. The equipment includes, among others, an under-screen fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, a mini-jack and protection against dust and moisture at the IP68 level, which is quite high. The system is Android 15 with the ROG UI interface. The smartphone is currently offered in Thailand, for 30,000 baht, or $890.
