Oppo A5 Pro presented some time ago in China has been joined by a new model... with the same name, but different specifications. What's new in the global edition of Oppo A5 Pro 5G?
Completely contrary to the name, the smartphone in the global version has really little in common with the Chinese version. The only things they have in common are probably the waterproof certificates (IP66, IP68, IP69) and drop resistance (MIL-STD-810H) and similar camera sets, but even that is not entirely true. The rest, from the size and type of the screen, through the processor, to the battery, is already different - including even the styling of the housings.

The global Oppo A5 Pro 5G has a Dimensity 6300 processor and a 6.67-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the Chinese version has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED and a Dimensity 7300 processor. Interestingly, the global variant has been equipped with a microSD card slot - but the battery capacity has been reduced from 6000 mAh to 5800 mAh, with 45-watt charging. The selfie camera resolution has been reduced from 16 to 8 megapixels, but the rear camera remains similar, 50 megapixels, with a 2-megapixel background blur. By clicking on the link, you can see a detailed comparison of both versions of the Oppo A5 Pro. Unfortunately, it turns out once again that the global edition of the Oppo smartphone is much weaker than the version offered in China. The global variant Oppo A5 Pro 5G debuted in Taiwan in two memory variants - 6+128 and 8+256 GB, for the equivalent of 244 and 290 USD.
