The Nothing company presented the new Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a Pro) smartphones at the MWC2025 trade fair. These models offer attractive, mid-range specifications and will be offered at really attractive prices.
The new Nothing smartphones have many things in common. Both are based on the same processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, supported by 8+128, 8+256 and 12+256 GB memory sets in the case of the Nothing Phone (3a) model and 8+256 and 12+256 GB in the Nothing Phone (3a Pro). Of course, there is also virtual RAM up to 20 GB. Both designs also use identical 5000 mAh batteries with 50-watt charging (unfortunately, without induction), filling the battery in 56 minutes. Both models also have NFC and eSIM support, not counting the dual slots for physical nanoSIM cards. Both models also have the same displays, 6.77-inch Flexible AMOLED matrices with Full HD+ resolutions and a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The smartphones run the Android 15 operating system, enriched with AI functions and the Nothing OS 3.1 interface, with the promise of three system version updates and 4 years of support for security patches. Of course, there is no shortage of Glyph backlights on the back of the case, which serve not only as decoration, but also as a notification diode, and both also use Panda Glass 5 on the front and back. The cases are protected against dust and moisture in accordance with the IP64 certificate. The smartphones also received an additional, configurable Essential Key on the side of the case.

The Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a Pro) differ in their cameras, as well as in their housing colors and weight. The Nothing Phone (3a) has a 32-megapixel Samsung KD1 selfie camera with a 1/3.44" matrix and f/2.2 aperture, as well as two 50-megapixel rear cameras: the main (Samsung GN1DL, 1/1.57", f/1.88 with OIS) and a telephoto (Samsung JN5, 1/2.74", f/2.0, with 2x optical zoom, 4x matrix zoom and 30x digital zoom). Next to them, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view, and the phone weighs 201 g. The Nothing Phone (3a) comes in three colors (white, black and blue), and its dimensions are 77.5x163.52x8.33 mm. This model records 4K videos at 30 fps or FHD at 60 fps. In turn, the Nothing Phone (3a Pro) has a 50-megapixel selfie camera - (Samsung JN1, 1/2.76", f/2.2) and the main Samsung GNJ camera with a 50-megapixel 1/1.56" matrix, f/1.88 aperture and OIS optical image stabilization. The wide-angle camera is the same as in the base model, while the telephoto camera is equipped with a different lens, with a periscope design. It works with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor, with a size of 1/1.95" and a lens with an aperture of f/2.55 with 3x optical zoom, 6x matrix zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. This model is available only in white or black, has the same dimensions as the Nothing Phone (3a) - 77.5x163.52 mm, but weighs 211 g. It is also slightly thicker, due to the more protruding camera frame - 8.9 mm. As I mentioned at the beginning, the new Nothing smartphones have been priced quite attractively - not to say aggressively. In Poland, the Nothing Phone (3a) in the 8+128 GB version costs £329 / €329 / INR 24,999, and the 12+256 GB version - £379 / $379 / €379.
